I am organizing a women's march to protest the Hobby Lobby decision as part of our local 4th of July parade, and I am in need of some short slogans. NOBODY does it better than DU!

Quite a few of the activists I know walk in parades on the 4th--usually for political candidates in our area. Our family was discussing this Hobby Lobotomy (I really LOVE that name, btw!) decision, and my 17 year old daughter was absolutely livid. I made the comment that I felt a need to hit the streets again, that maybe I'd been sidetracked with political parties and needed to get back to my issues. My daughter was *RIGHT* there with me and said that several of her friends would probably love to walk if somebody organized it... At that point, an action was started.

I put out a call to my list, she mobilized HER list and we are now looking at three generations of women that are planning to show up for this walk. It might sound odd, but I am overjoyed to see the support and enthusiasm that her friends have exhibited. I'm also feeling very sad at how disorganized our local women's scene has become over the years I've been focused on politicians rather than direct action.
