It is the Fourth, after all!

Do they still make those toy laser guns that go "graaaaaaack"?

Having to read the post, for the jury duty, made me feel real icky.

I recall from the past some here getting threating PMs from some nutjob or other and there invariably seemed to be excessive time delays in them being tombstoned at the time.

Stay well.

but I do think it is safe to say that a poster like that may be quite sincere, and in my opinion presents
more of a threat to the message board community by behaving belligerently and advocating senseless violence.
Although I believe it is simply a mental problem, it certainly leaves the board looking worse than it should!

Some have been nasty and some carelessly insensitive, but I think the really bad ones are rare and dealt with almost immediately by the jury.

If you have been threatened or verbally attacked flag it and send it to the jury immediately and that poster will be tomb-stoned or at least that post will be hidden.

I have know DU to be a spirited yet friendly community.

under different names

some are even allowed to stay that way
dookus/monkeyfunk for example
oldleftielawyer/tangerine labamba for another

I doubt if "threatening PMer" was allowed to come back, but that they did anyway.

Some crazy person sent me a PM threatening me once. They are known to have a long time troll that does this here at DU.

Sometimes, I have wondered if it might be a "sock" of a few duers around here who seem to not like my posts much.

If you haven't been threatened on a political discussion board, you're doing it wrong.

It is kind of funny that someone would get so bent out of shape over political opinions on a message board, that they would be pathetic enough to try and threaten someone over them.

I mean, how bad must their life be?
