Fox News: Marriage Equality Leads To Marrying Your Dog

When discussing gay rights on Fox News, who better to consult than the network's reliable source Dr. Keith Ablow?

"Fox & Friends" asked Ablow on Wednesday for his thoughts on a new California bill that replaces the words “husband” and “wife” with "spouse" under state laws. The new bill has been described as a "milestone in the journey towards full equality" and an end to the last barrier to same-sex marriage in California.

"Nuts," Ablow said of the new bill. "There's no way that the state of California can deny a marriage license to four spouses now. Eight spouses, or I would say three human spouses and the canine they absolutely love because if love is the foundation of marriage, they can love their dog, too."

That's right folks. You heard it here first. A step forward for marriage equality will only lead to polygamy and marrying your dog.

Your dog cannot give it's consent. A child cannot either. Law 101. ADULTS, whatever their sexual orientation, can consent. Perhaps a case could be made for Polygamy among consenting adults, but certainly not for animals, children, or inanimate objects.

And it would be pedophilia since my dog is only 13. lots of hurdles to get over before we could marry. I don't even want to get into our differences in religion. She of the smell the dog butt beliefs. Then we get into the who problem of her belief that all dors should be open all the time - bathroom, the air conditioned rooms, etc.

Just how stupid do you have to be to get a high paying job at Fox? OK, OK, it's a rhetorical question.

Dear Mr. Ablow:

A dog does not have the legal capacity to enter into a valid and binding contract, any more than say a 3 year old does. Additionally, no state in the US legally recognizes legally binding plural marriages, so no state could issue a marriage license to more than 2 people. If states change their laws on that at some point, and there are valid arguments both for and against polygamous marriages, only than could a license be issued to cover more than 2 spouses.

i mean gay marriage itself and all the rest is really just the logical consequence of that, isn't it?

i mean, that was one of the many stupid arguments your kind used against that back in the day, wasn't it?

A Republican state rep here in Florida came in with no discernible agenda whatever, but quickly leapt to battle with an urgent, full-blown campaign to ... strengthen the already-existing laws against sex with farm animals.

Then there's man-on-dog Santorum of course. And now Fox.

It seems like the message is that if gay people can now have the law recognize the relationships THEY want (with other consenting human adults) then it's only fair if conservatives can engage in the types of relationships previously forbidden to them by law, culture, tradition, the Bible, and several different parts of the Health Code:

Sex with animals.

They go right to it. IMMEDIATELY.

"What? A form of sexual enterprise previously treated as tabboo has been accepted? We-hell, then, let's get Bessie and old Mr. Frank out of the barn, and grab Lucky and Mittens too. And bring a preacher!"

NH: "Absolutely. I was a fool. When you grow up on a farm in Georgia, your first girlfriend is a mule."

AC: "I'm not so sure that that is so."

NH: "You didn't grow up on a farm in Georgia, did you?"

AC: "Are you suggesting that everybody who grows up on a farm in Georgia has a mule as a girlfriend?"

NH: It has historically been the case. You people are so far removed from the reality... Welcome to domestic life on the farm..."

Colmes said he thought there were a lot of people in the audience who grew up on farms, are living on farms now, raising kids on farms and "and I don't think they are dating Elsie right now. You know what I'm saying?"

Horsley said, "You experiment with anything that moves when you are growing up sexually. You're naive. You know better than that... If it's warm and it's damp and it vibrates you might in fact have sex with it."

Well, let's see. I'm straight. I've been married twice. Once for 10 years, once for 11. Some time after the last marriage ended, I got a dog. A female. I've had her for 11 years now. She's not going anywhere. She's better company in most ways, and an easier keeper, than either of my husbands. She's definitely more faithful, and she loves me more than they did. I haven't married her, but I expect our partnership to last another few years, at least. She's slowed down, but has some life left in her yet.

I guess according to FOX, I might be gay AND married to my dog. I'll be in CA briefly this fall; should we apply for a marriage license?

Wed Jul 9, 2014, 04:32 PM

If he can't think about absolutely loving his friends, parents, or kids, pets, or chocolate-raspberry truffle ice cream without getting married to all of above, then he's got a really weird idea about what has no clue about what love is, or what marriage is.

Absolute Love does not equal marriage. Marriage does not equal absolute love.

Marriage = a legal partnership between two committed adults to form a united household.

Just another outrage wanker pretending that his rights and privilege are dependant on his ability to step on the necks of anyone who doesn't kowtow to him and agree with everything he spouts.
