We are seeing the rise of the GOP dictatorship. And we see a cult desperate to steal this election take over and end our Democracy. If that is not treason I don't know what is. All you have to do is look at what they are doing in all the legislatures that they control. How long will it be before they just tell the Democrats not to show or or arrest them if they do.

(28,151 posts)Here, across the lake in Michigan, I have watched in awe as you all in WI have just shown us how it's done! My county party even had one of your state Senators to an event as our guest speaker! That's how inspired we are with our brothers and sisters across the lake!
Keep on rockin'! Hopefully we can gather enough steam to do similar with our own cast of evil characters.
To our mighty Wisconsin Dems! Making us ALL proud!

(22,143 posts)But for some reason, it isn't. Most people don't care or don't notice. And of the people that do, half of them are all for it. We are in a bad, bad situation. By the time the wingnuts finally figure it out, it will be too late to remedy. It probably is already.

(1,451 posts)My rules. We all would be better off if we phased them out. They become Democrats or they become extinct. I personally believe we only need the Democratic party, no other ones except Social Dems.

(1,362 posts)Conspiracy to commit war, as committed by Bush, Cheney, Rice, Powell and Rumsfeld is indeed treason and yet it's "off the table". Setting up torture camps is a clear violation of the War Crimes Act and yet who is being held accountable for that? Who signed into law the ability to arrest and indefinitely detain any American without any given probably cause?
It's much much worse than just the psychopath repukes so blaming them and them alone is a complete failure to recognize what America has quickly become. Treasonous people have always been around but in the past we held them accountable. Now we have traded political civility ("we must work with republicans" for the very treason you mention.
Want to get rid of a possible GOP dictatorship? The only way is to hold those GOPers who committed treason responsible, otherwise it's all just worthless political discourse in a completely corrupt country.
