Original post: http://www.democraticunderground.com/10025198650
Because of the generosity of people here at DU, I was able to get the exhaust system on my car fixed before it blowed up or whatever.
I was truly humbled by the outpouring of support that I received through all the replies. I never expected that.
I had some extra and I used it to pay 2 adoption fees at the local shelter. I could have used it for my physical needs, but this helped me in a lot of ways too. I didn't specify the use for just cats. I just wanted 2 sweet baby animals to find forever homes. Mousie and Scat would approve as would Tater and Moonpie if they ever slowed down enough to listen.
Thank you again!

(19,288 posts)I read the title wrong. Not enough coffee. I read it as ' I got my cat fixed.'
And I'm happy for your new cats but I thought gawd noooo. Now we have to hear about the spade and neuter, in GD.
Yay, CAR

(13,985 posts)The reason we have so many homeless, unwanted cats and dogs is because people don't spay and neuter their pets.

(19,288 posts)I'm saying I misread the title. I thought she said she had her cat fixed. Then I saw it was her car.
Is that too mean for our community standards?

(19,288 posts)And I'm happy about your car, too. I was trying to be funny. I have followed your story about the cats. I'd rather read kitty stories in the lounge or pets group. Pleased and surprised this was about cars not cats.
