(10,622 posts)Murdoch is prepared to seriously sweeten the deal, and there has already been talk of Time Warner spinning-off CNN in order to sooth regulators who might be concerned about Fox News and CNN being owned by the same (evil) company.

(10,622 posts)Look at the media consolidation they have already allowed to happen. They are currently in the process of allowing Comcast to acquire Time Warner Cable. That deal is even worse for the consumer than this one. I don't think the regulators will save us here at all. We have foxes guarding our hen house.
