Even Elizabeth Warren Supports Israel.....

Directly from her website :

I unequivocally support the right of a Jewish, democratic state of Israel to exist, safe and secure

As a United States Senator, I will work to ensure Israel’s security and success. I believe Israel must maintain a qualitative military edge and defensible borders.

The United States must continue to ensure that Israel can defend itself from terrorist organizations and hostile states, including Iran, Hamas, Hezbollah, and others

Meaning she will support israel military aid ?

Unilateral actions, such as the Palestinians’ membership efforts before the United Nations, are unhelpful, and I would support vetoing a membership application

Let's Face it...There is not a single big leader in Democratic party who will have guts to tell Israel to stop.

I will not vote for a candidate that supports the ongoing subjugation and exploitation of the Palestinian people. Because that is exactly what Israel is has done, and the U.S. is its primary enabler in doing so. I won't lend my approval by voting for an individual who will help perpetuate the problem.

and it is against DU rules to post anything in support of candidate of any other party...

Also, majority of the green party voters are democratic party loss and republican party gain as votes split.

Thus, be careful you are walking on thin line here...

I am always supportive of a more left than democratic party but usually they need to win local elections in blue states where chances of republican parties winning is so low that even if votes split, democrat or the more leftist party would win (for example : Seattle city elections, socialist alternative party).

All freedom loving people support Israels right to exist. It's there.

But only a few support Israel when it commits what appears to be crimes against humanity.

Of course, given the screwed up nature of modern American politics, accusing Israel of committing crimes against humanity is heavily censored and attacked. There is no real freedom of speech when it comes to Israel, all speech is tightly controlled.

Although I don't doubt her sincerity in those remarks, I'd rather Warren have a fighting chance to implement her economic populism than fail to choose her battles wisely and get nowhere.

And that goes for any Democratic candidate on the ballot.

At the end of the day, if someone champions my economic interests... they can fly an Israeli flag from their car for all I care.

I am also a strong proponent of a two-state solution to the Israeli-Palestinian conflict, which I believe to be in the interest of Israel and the United States, with a Jewish, democratic state of Israel and a state for the Palestinian people.

The U.S. can and should play an active role in promoting a diplomatic resolution to the conflict that is agreed to by the parties, but I do not believe that a lasting peace can be imposed from the outside or that either party should take unilateral steps - such as the Palestinians' application for UN membership - that move the parties further away from negotiations.

I still disagree with her re: "the Palestinian's unilateral application for UN membership..."

Why should the Palestinian's need permission or approval from anybody else to apply for UN Membership?

And I disagree with her statement, "To me, it is a moral imperative to support and defend Israel, and I am committed to ensuring its long-term security by maintaining its qualitative military edge."

I feel no "moral imperative" to either support or defend Israel.

That said, I still prefer her to Clinton since at least she's not in bed with Wall Street and we might finally get rid of Summers and his friends.

...it basically means she supports sending sophisticated US weaponry to Israel. That same hi tech weaponry is used to kill Palestinians.

They do have a right to exist.

They should be able to defend themselves.

And should be able to defend themselves from terrorist organizations.

As for the last one, I disagree. But, I will still vote for her. I'm more concerned with what is happening here before what is happening abroad. She can fix many of the major issues we have here. Then we can work on those abroad.

I unequivocally support the right of a Jewish, democratic state of Israel to exist, and to be safe and secure. The U.S.-Israel relationship is rooted in shared values and common interests, based on a commitment to liberty, pluralism, and the rule of law. These values transcend time, and they are the basis of our unbreakable bond.

To me, it is a moral imperative to support and defend Israel, and I am committed to ensuring its long-term security by maintaining its qualitative military edge. Israel must be able to defend itself from the serious threats it faces from terrorist organizations to hostile states, including Iran, Hamas, Hezbollah, and others.

And nothing like that here ...
