I can't remember all the other times off the top of my head.

Murkowski, Collins, Snowe, and Brown cross the aisle the most to vote with the dems compared to the other GOPers.

There are more examples of her crossing the aisle but I don't know where they all are right now.

p.s. I am NOT saying that anyone should vote for her, I'm just pointing out that she is not as bad as some of the other republicans.

Edited to add:

Excerpt from old article regarding Lilly Ledbetter

Yesterday's bill passed the Senate 61-36, enough to stop another threatened filibuster. Without the support of Republicans Susan Collins (R-ME), Olympia Snowe (R-ME), Lisa Murkowski (R-AK) and Kay Bailey Hutchinson (R-TX) it would have fallen short.

Murkowski was one of five Republican senators who voted with Democrats for the Matthew Shepard and James Byrd, Jr. Hate Crimes Prevention Act.

AND

Don't ask don't tell
Murkowski supported the repeal of Don't ask, don't tell after careful consideration of the Department of Defense report. "Our military leaders have made a compelling case that they can successfully implement a repeal of 'don't ask, don't tell,' " she said. "It is infinitely preferable for Congress to repeal the law, and allow the service chiefs to develop and execute a new policy, than to invite a court-ordered reversal of the law with no allowance for a military-directed implementation. I've heard from Alaskans across the state who believe it's time to end this discriminatory policy, and I agree with them."[25] On December 18, 2010, Murkowski voted in favor of the Don't Ask, Don't Tell Repeal Act of 2010.

She votes with the Democrats about as often as Mark votes with the Republicans, e.g., his vote last week against ending oil subsidies. They're both trying really hard to be moderate, I guess, but I still think Alaska would have been much better off with Scott McAdams who holds fast to his core Democratic values.

Here is the Roll Call: Murkowski voted 'yea'.

http://www.senate.gov/legislative/LIS/roll_call_lists/roll_call_vote_cfm.cfm?congress=111&session=1&vote=00014

And here:

In what could be the first piece of legislation that President Barack Obama will sign, the Senate passed the Lilly Ledbetter Fair Pay Act of 2009 (S. 181) last night by a strong majority (61 - 36) after defeating a series of hostile Republican amendments. The Senate floor debate for the Act was led by Senator Barbara Mikulski (D-MD), Dean of the women Senators, for Senate Health, Education, Labor and Pensions Committee Chair Senator Ted Kennedy (D-MA) after Majority Leader Senator Reid (D-NV) navigated the bill to the floor.

Only one male Republican, Senator Arlen Specter from Pennsylvania voted for Ledbetter, despite the fact that all four female Republican Senators voted in favor: Susan Collins (R-ME) Kay Bailey Hutchison (R-TX), Olympia Snowe (R-ME) and Lisa Murkowski (R-AK).

but was too cowardly to show up for the Paycheck Fairness Act. I'm not sure what the difference is in these two bills, but that may be where the confusion is. Lisa always tries to have it both ways.

Please see: http://thinkprogress.org/politics/2010/11/17/130872/paycheck-fairness-act-fail/

Not a single Republican supported the bill, including Sens. Olympia Snowe (R-ME) and Susan Collins (R-ME), who had previously voted in favor of the Lilly Ledbetter Fair Pay Act, which removed barriers blocking workers from seeking compensation from discriminatory pay practices. At the time, Snowe said, “This new law[] sends a clear message to the American people that this Congress is committed to these core principles and will continue to work in bipartisan fashion to break down the barriers of wage discrimination in our nation.”

Sen. Ben Nelson (D-NE), who also voted for the Lilly Ledbetter Act, was the lone Democrat voting against the bill today. Sen. Lisa Murkowski (R-AK) was not present for the vote.

I don't quite understand why you're so quick to jump to Lisa Murkowski's defense contrary to the opinions of three of us who actually have been following her career since she was a state representative in Alaska. I would imagine that we know a bit more about her history and shady dealings.

I'm not saying that Lisa doesn't occasionally make a good vote, but looking at her overall record, it's clear that she always operates from a position of self-interest. Do a little research into her cozy relationship with the Alaska Native Corporations. Claire McCaskill has been on her ass incessantly about those deals.

Murkowski Becomes Third Republican Senator To Criticize GOP’s War On Women

The men in the Republican Party may not think they’re fighting a “war on women,” but its female senators certainly do. Yesterday, Sen. Lisa Murkowski (R-AK) joined Sens. Olympia Snowe (R-ME) and Kay Bailey Hutchison in criticizing the GOP’s push for legislation to restrict access to contraception and other basic health care services:

“It makes no sense to make this attack on women,” she said at a local Chamber of Commerce luncheon. “If you don’t feel this is an attack, you need to go home and talk to your wife and your daughters.”

Murkowski — who recently said she regretted her vote for the anti-woman Blunt amendment — promised to fight for Planned Parenthood funding and also spoke out against Rush Limbaugh’s attack of Sandra Fluke, adding, “To have those kind of slurs against a woman … you had candidates who want to be our president not say, ‘That’s wrong. That’s offensive.’ They did not condemn the rhetoric.”

I need to see a little more consistency from Senator Murkowski before I give her a pass. She's been known to be extremely two-faced while trying to please both sides.

She knows she owes a debt to the Democrats (shame on you Democrats; you know who you are) and Independents in Alaska who wrote her in, but yet she still wants to hedge her bets on any leadership positions she might pick up if the Republicans take back the Senate. With her, it's always about self-interest.
