What could go wrong with sending the Texas Guard to border???

Maybe start a firefight with the border patrol, Mexican police, and worst of all the coyotes.

Gov Perry is too stupid to be in office, this will not end well.

but we know Old Ricky Boy is not doing this. It is to scare these kids and they have been in enough violence. If this is the best he can do then it proves he is not capable of handling any office. The first one of these kids who is injured Perry needs to be charged with injury or murder.

A governor of a state should not be taking on the function that is a Federal function. Unless, and until the President calls up and Federalizes the TX National Guard.

I doubt much will happen from their being deployed. The number is not big enough.

They are unarmed and usually do support work for the border patrol. Perry did this once before and that's all that they were allowed to do

Will the Guard be issued ammunition?

If not this will just be a toothless photo op for goodhair. If so it will be a formula for disaster. Think Ohio State or the Marines who killed an American Latino who was tending his family's goats. They claimed he shot at them. I believe that he never knew the Marines were there and was either plinking with his 22 or shooting at rabbits. The Marines were in camo.
