If Palestinian rockets are such a dire threat, then US airlines shouldn't be flying into Israel

Seems like the Israelis are trying to have it both ways.

Israel is claiming they needed to kill hundreds of Palestinians in order to stop the dire threat of rocket attacks, but they're mad when the FAA says US airlines shouldn't fly into Israel because it's dangerous.

How in the world does that make any sense?

That's ummm, the definition of terrorism.

Seems like some people want it both ways. True.

If they are useless, why use them? I have asked over and over, what is their purpose?

I never said that.

The missiles are raining down on Israel and causing havoc according to the Israelis who have first-hand knowledge. The missiles aren't precision guided and they hit indiscriminate targets.

It's a dangerous and volatile part of the world.

So I'm not sure why they're mad then the US suspends flights to a dangerous part of the world.

the per capita body count in the US from guns vs those missiles in Israel?

And, no, that is not to excuse or minimize the very real evil those rockets are doing. It's to point out how many thousands of people get killed by guns in the US.

They aren't anti-aircraft munitions. You can't hit a plane with one. The danger from these rockets comes from firing them into crowded urban environments in the hope of hitting something, not blowing a passenger jet out of the sky.

in dead civilians in Gaza and thus furthers the ends of Hamas. And Israel plays right along with the script, though I'm unsure what other action they could take.

It's a clusterfuck.

and sooner or later some plane and its passengers will be in the wrong place at the wrong time.

Or maybe the passengers will just at the wrong baggage claim carousel at the wrong time.

On edit: Why get so upset when people and corporations don't want to take chances?
