25K people marching and were fired on by IDF. Speaking with Barghouti, who organized march for peace.
Correction on location in thread title. Too much going on to take it all in.

If the West Bank explodes, Netahyahu can't blame Hamas.
This whole aggression by Israel is going to backfire this time, I think.

(16,844 posts)This cannot go unpunished. He belongs in prison for life after all he's done. It boggles my mind that soldiers in the IDF are taking orders to do the things they've been doing. They aren't just doing harm to the people they've been attacking; they're also harming their own country. If it wasn't time for the world to step in before, it's definitely time now. The U.S. bears a lot of responsibility for this as well.

(37,364 posts)That we have American kids who are sent by their families to serve in it. Our local newscast carried the story of a young girl who was sent by her parents to Israel to serve so she could experience I don't know what exactly.

(16,844 posts)I wouldn't even send my child to war in the American military, let alone the Israeli military. I'm not sure that our record on human rights is any better, though, considering how many civilian deaths in Iraq that we have on our hands. I'm not aware of any protesters that we killed in our wars, however. We usually just send in our militarized police to pepper spray protesters.
