People for voting the wrong way. It's "the people that got elected are fucking up your lives and you are paying for it. Time to get rid of them and limit the damage they can do to you." There will never be any peace or compromises by the Israelis as long as Hamas is in charge. Both sides have to come to the table willing to work. All I hear from Hamas is "we're going to murder you all." Why should Israel give anything up as long as that is coming from the other side?

Gaza is being squeezed. They have nothing. All they had has been taken and they can't even move. And you expect them to give up even more?

13. I'm not expecting them to give up

more. I'd rather they stop shooting rockets into civilian areas. The retaliation it brings is devastating. They are being squeezed as a direct result of the fighting they have engaged in. Suicide bombings were the reasons for the separation wall. The Israelis are certainly not innocent in this. I agree that the settlements have to go. I'd like to see a land-for-peace deal happen. In return for the arrest of Hamas leaders and the promise of no more fighting, maybe the Palestinians get back maybe 45-55% of the land mass.
This kind of deal is what stopped the Egyptians and Israelis from fighting, and why the Sinai is in Egyptian hands. Its a good deal. That is, unless the radicals keep to their charters and continue to fight for the destruction of the Israeli state.

Gaza has been squeezed. They can't go offshore, they can go inshore. They are controlled by the Israelis like they are in a prison camp. Know why Gaza has not been attacked in 19 months? Because they did not launch any rockets from Gaza for 19 months. They started launching recently because they were attacked.

You are blaming the victims. There have been two Israelis killed recently and over 700 Gazans. And you talk as if this were a fair fight and indeed, a needed fight by the Israelis.

The Gazans are being treated worse and worse, and when they fight back some of you go off with your hair on fire deciding that mass murder is somehow a proper response. When the fact is, as Christ would undoubtedly say, they are being sacrificed again for power, greed and profit as they have been for 60 years.

Your position is one of injustice and support of the powerful over the victims. Sad to see such uneducated and prejudiced words being flung on DU.
