I'm a sales person in the Cyber Security business. I work for one of the larger Firewall companies in the world.

Biz is good. Real good. Seems those bad guys keep multiplying.

Anyhow... I get a base plus commission and I'm having a good year.

Here's the thing though.

Should I pull back a bit and not do my job as best I can? That way I won't make as much money and I can be assured that friends and members on online forums won't begrudge my success.

What to do... be successful and make money because of my success...or--- be successful and turn down the money---or---- not be successful and make no money----

Really confused on what I should do. Can I get some help from those who get upset when successful people make money?

not a giant chunk of change coming in 2014 with hardly anything for 2015. Best bet is to do the work needed for 2014 and push some of it into 2015. That is of course if you can do that, if you know the customers will go elsewhere then grab all of the money in 2014.
