(9,760 posts)because it looks so much like my niece. She was an amazingly beautiful, sensitive, intense child, whose smile, when she was happy, would warm a small country.
But in the past few years, she's 18 now, she has been in and out of adolescent psych wards. Being very artistic, observant, and compassionate, she is deeply affected by the general fuckedupedness of the world. She seems to be doing better now, and recently graduated from high school, but I fear for her future.
We've got to make the world a better place.
