When is too much too much?

I just saw the poll on who do you trust more, Hamas or Israel? What is happening now is not a black and white issue and it can't be boiled down to whom I trust more--because I trust neither.

Also, boiling it down to black and white leaves out all the people in the middle that truly aren't involved in this other than being cannon fodder. Someone recently posted Israel isn't the "Jews." Well, Palestinians aren't Hamas either. Yet all Palestinians are paying the price for Hamas' actions. How is that black and white? How do you cover that in a poll that is boiled down to who the most popular kid in the room is?

When a state that has so much power over a region, including "allowing" them to have the utilities they have and "allowing" them a small slice of land that they originally annexed (Native Americans anyone?), how can you even begin to trust that political power?

Decimating an entire region for the actions of a small few is too much. No one seems to be talking about the fact that what Israel is doing to Palestine right now is creating future members of Hamas and more Hamas support that in the future Israel will have to go back in and kill indiscriminately. It's a never ending cycle.

I don't support Hamas and I don't support Israel. I support the innocent people that are paying with their lives for doing nothing more than being born in the region they were born in--on both sides.

However, right now the side that is being decimated (genocide) is the side I support. I know it's an unpopular opinion on DU to have and I'll be accused of supporting Hamas but in fact, what I support is life. What I support is peace. Many on DU cry out about the injustice of what America has done in Iraq--which, IMO, isn't much different than what is going on right now between Israel and Palestine. So why does Israel get a pass and America doesn't?

I assume the vast majority of Palestinians are non combatants, right?

The vast majority of Israeli's as well, right?

One wonders what would happen if average folk were allowed to decide the course of action.
