President George H.W. Bush signs the Americans with Disabilities Act, a civil rights law that prohibits discrimination based on disability. The U.S. Chamber of Commerce, like many business organizations, opposed the law, arguing that the costs of the ADA would be “enormous” and have a “disastrous impact on many small businesses struggling to survive.”

3. It did not help me.

My employer has a bank of lawyers trained to fuck you over if you file a complaint. I could not afford to lose to them so it went nowhere.

2. Some attorneys have used the ADA business access rules to harm business and enrich

themselves.

I wish there was a way to stop that as it gives the ADA a bad name that it doesnt deserve.

5. There is a lot of ADA lawsuit abuse in CA. The law needs amending.
