The lazy moocher class: Congress (GOP House Set To Work Only 14 Days In The Next Four Months)

Imagine, over the course of almost four month, you worked only 14 days. What would happen? For starters, you’d probably lose your job. Then, because you lost your job, you wouldn’t make any money to pay your bills. You would also lose your health insurance plan and any hopes of a pension. Yes, if you worked only 14 days over the course of four months, you would be finished with your job.

Unless you work in the United States House of Representatives, that is. Over the next 106 days (July 29th to November 12th), the House will be working for ZERO DAYS in August, eleven days in September, and only two days in October, and no days until November 12th, after the elections.

So while they complain that the “Fundraiser in Chief” doesn’t do his job, they take four months off of work to do just what? Missionary work? Please.

Can someone one please tell me again why these idiots are making $174,000 + Healthcare + Travel + Pensions for doing NO WORK while some people working two jobs still struggle to make ends meet? If I didn’t work a day in August, I’d be fired from my job! What they are doing is exactly what they accuse the President of doing. They can campaign and lobby for other Republicans before the elections, no problem. But oh no, if President Obama has a “cheeseburger in North Carolina” and a beer in New Hampshire, he is incompetent to do his job and he just doesn’t care.

On the website of soon-to-be ex House Majority Leader Eric Cantor, when he laid out the House’s brilliant schedule (after bragging about working even less days than last year), he wrote that the working days of the House, “has created certainty, increased efficiency and productivity in the committee process.” Really? And is that why he, along with other House GOPers still say the economy sucks? Here’s a hint: WORK MORE!

1. "There oughtta be a law," so Congress should pass one.

2. Vote out the so and so's.

The first ain't going to happen, no matterwho is in control of Congres. The second probably won't ever happen, either, thanks to a variety of existing laws, gerrymandering and "lesser of two evils" voting by both Republican and Democratic voters, the second probably won't happen, either. (Add to that uninformed and just plain bone tired, voters.)

30 days for off for private occasions, 30 days off for political occasions, to be redistributed as they desire. That should be enough.
