Just a mostly naked swirl being consumed by dry air and wind shear.

I'd be surprised if depression 93L even survives another day or two.

Not too keen on being some place without the family and having to deal with bad conditions down there, especially after the tornado last week that hit the campground in VA. Hopefully "Bertha" turns out to sea. I can deal with bad currents and higher than average waves, because I don't boogie board or swim in the ocean -- just shell and do some surf/pier fishing. When the high winds down there kick up, not so much. ---- Wait, nix the high waves, I'm planning on spending some time on Ocracoke as well and sometimes the ferries don't run when it's bad, even without a pending hurricane. It's been 3 yrs since I've been down and I really miss the place. There is no comparison to the beaches there.

I read that the hurricane hunters aren't even going to have a look today.

Nothing but a naked swirl.

Best chance for Bertha to be born is in a couple weeks when the atmosphere is expected to be much more favorable.
