(13,877 posts)After our first Black President, a woman for President and a Latino for VP...speaking of firsts. He'll bring in a lot of Hillary Hesitant voters...for sure. The Hispanics will turn out strongly, as well. Finally, a shot at the White House.
So proud to be a Democrat !

(8,492 posts)Julian? When did this start becoming a thing? I love the Castros, but is he ready? I figured I'd be seeing good things from them in the future, but...2016?
Okay. I'm game. It makes Hillary more appealing to me. No, I do not hate Hillary.
Edit: Okay, quickie Google and, it's 'sort of' a thing. Huh...I like this thing. Offta more reading...

Hillary I'll vote for with enthusiasm if she is the nominee no doubt.

(13,877 posts)Way before being "Hispanic" was cool. Seems I remember she hung out a bit with Cesar Chavez...another trail blazer. These young men who grew up without a father, have been groomed for greatness.

(13,992 posts)Hillary from 2016-2024 followed by Julian or Joaquin (either one, they're both pretty awesome) from 2024-2032. By that time, you'd have to be basically over thirty years old to remember a time when a white guy was the President of the United States.

(1,406 posts)For the American Dynasties. Royalty here we come. Predetermined lines of succession what could go wrong?
Why bother to vote we can just give whomever family member of the Clinton's, Obama's, or Castro's the Crown.
Lord knows nobody with new ideas or life changing policies would ever come along in a 30 yr span.

(13,992 posts)Having the first female president would be a huge deal (regardless of her last name). But you want eight years of Elizabeth Warren? Sure. I'm down with that as well. And having the first Latino president would also be a very huge deal. And a Castro Administration would also be the first from an American born after Vietnam and Watergate -- they're the next generation of leadership.

(1,406 posts)You did not name one Qualification Quality any of these people hold, all you did is list what Milestone they would be. Seems like they are Objects to pass Mile Posts in the Road you have set up.

(13,992 posts)What qualifications does Hillary Clinton have to be President? A former United States Senator and Secretary of State? Julian Castro is a three time Mayor of San Antonio and current HUD Secretary, and Joaquin is currently a member of Congress. I strongly suspect that by 2024, they will both have added significantly to their resumes.
