Sunday Talk Shows

Meet The Press
After three sweeping victories this week, Mitt Romney moved closer to claiming the Republican nomination while President Obama zeroed in on his likely challenger for the first direct clash of this political season. As both sides begin to lay out their arguments for the Fall, which party’s vision will win? This Sunday, a debate between the two sides: Senator from President Obama’s home state, Assistant Majority Leader Dick Durbin and Governor of the 2012 swing state, Ohio, John Kasich

On Easter Sunday, we’ll have a special roundtable discussion about the role of faith in politics and America. Is there too much? Do we need more? Should the faith of a candidate matter when voters make their decisions this Fall. Joining us: Archbishop-designate of Baltimore William Lori; daughter of Billy Graham, Anne Graham Lotz; United Methodist Pastor Rep. Emanuel Cleaver (D-MO); member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, Rep. Raul Labrador (R-ID); and Executive Editor at Random House, as well as author of “American Gospel: God, the Founding Fathers, and the Making of a Nation,” Jon Meacham

ABC This Week
In a special Easter Sunday broadcast of "This Week," Pastor Rick Warren speaks exclusively about the spiritual state of the nation with ABC News Senior White House correspondent Jake Tapper.

Before Warren's Easter Sunday sermon "Trusting in God When You Don't Feel Like Trusting Him," the founder of Saddleback Church in Lake Forest, Calif. and the best-selling author of "The Purpose Driven Life," talks candidly about the country's reignited culture wars, his view of the proper intersection of church and state, as well as finding comfort and keeping faith in difficult times.

Jake Tapper also speaks with Warren's wife, Kay Warren, on her new book "Choose Joy: Because Happiness Isn't Enough." See Rick and Kay Warren this Easter Sunday, only on "This Week."

Then, our powerhouse roundtable debates all the week's politics, with ABC News' George Will, Yahoo News Washington bureau chief David Chalian, author and Georgetown University professor Michael Eric Dyson, Thomson Reuters Digital editor Chrystia Freeland, and Wall Street Journal columnist Peggy Noonan

With Mitt Romney victories in Wisconsin, Maryland, and Washington D.C. this week, the focus turns to the general election, as President Obama trades jabs with the likely Republican nominee for the first time.

Can Romney make the case to women voters who are swinging their support behind the president? Did Obama overstep by challenging the Supreme Court to not overturn his signature health care law? And will the latest jobs report, showing only 120,000 jobs added in March, weaken the White House's case for re-election?

CBS Face The Nation
Cardinal Dolan: Politics not overrun by religion

On "Face the Nation," Cardinal Timothy Dolan denied that there is too much religion in politics, saying that politics "benefits" when religion plays a role.

In an interview to air in its entirety Sunday, the Catholic leader said he thinks "politics... only benefits when religion, when morals, when faith has a place there. I think the American (people), the public square in the United States is always enriched whenever people approach it, when they're inspired by their deepest held convictions."

CBS will also feature a panel with Richard Land, president of the Southern Baptist Convention’s Ethics and Religious Liberty Commission; Rabbi David Wolpe of Sinai Temple in Los Angeles; and the Rev. Luis Cortes Jr., president of Esperanza, a Latino poverty relief organization.

Fox News Sunday
Newt Gingrich,
The Senate remains deadlocked over passing a budget plan of their own. We’ll find out where things stand with two members of the Budget Committee, Senator Ron Johnson and Senator Kent Conrad

CNN State of The Union
As Mitt Romney solidifies his position atop the Republican Presidential, we’ll look at President Obama’s re-election strategy with DNC Chair Rep. Debbie Wasserman Schultz

Plus, will independents, women and Latinos decide the election, especially in the crucial “swing states?” We’ll ask pollsters Mark Penn and Linda DiVall

Also, while everyone is still focused on the landmark Health Care Reform legislation, the Supreme Court prepares to hear another politically charged election year case on immigration. And did President Obama step over the line when he spoke about judicial activism? We’ll talk about it with Former Solicitor general Ken Starr and Former Acting Solicitor General Neal Katyal

And finally, on Easter Sunday a look at the intersection of politics and religion with Ralph Reed, founder and Chairman of the Faith and Freedom Coalition, Chair of the Congressional Black Caucus Rep. Emanuel Cleaver (D-MO), a United Methodist Church pastor, and David Brody, Chief Political Correspondent for the Christian Broadcasting Network

I don't have a TV - so I won't be watching any of these shows - but I read your Sunday lineup every week just to see who's going to be on which show, and what topics are going to be discussed. Knowing these things inspires both fascination and horror, week after week...
