The children at the UN school in Gaza were sleeping when it was attacked.

The Guardian, Wednesday 30 July 2014 14.37 EDT

United Nations officials described the killing of sleeping children as a disgrace to the world and accused Israel of a serious violation of international law after a school in Gaza being used to shelter Palestinian families was shelled on Wednesday.

At least 15 people, mostly children and women, died when the school in Jabaliya refugee camp was hit by five shells during a night of relentless bombardment across Gaza. More than 100 people were injured.

Ban Ki-moon, the UN secretary general, said the attack was "outrageous and unjustifiable" and demanded "accountability and justice". The UN said its officials had repeatedly given details of the school and its refugee population to Israel.

At the UN school the first shell came just after the early morning call to prayer, when most of those taking shelter were asleep, crammed into classrooms with what few possessions they had managed to snatch as they fled their homes.

I am ashamed that my taxes go towards supporting such atrocities.
I am ashamed of my Senators Markey and Warren for their votes against humanity.

Terror bombing to blast just about everything in sight, and when the people who survive
see the devastation, Israel hopes they will disown Hamas. Twisted thinking, but that is
part of a structured plan...that is indiscriminate killing.

The horrors of their occupation and brutalization (in the name of "security", which goddamn well should send shivers down AMERICAN spines) has gone beyond the defensible into the morally repugnant. If the crimes of the South African apartheid regime rose to the level of requiring international divestment to bring it to an end, them I have not lived to see a better example of human atrocities as deserving of such a response.

I want to boycott any and all companies that continue to invest in and enable the Israeli regime in their genocidal campaign against the Palestinian people. If Israel is unwilling or unable to reign itself in and get back to the negotiating table, then they should be coerced into it by whatever means necessary - including an economic boycott hammer against the corporations and corporate states that encourage it.

Out of Israel now.
No more investments or support.
No more UN rubber stamp.
No more money.
No more guns.
No more aid.

Goodbye and good luck with the angry hornet's nest of neighbors that you are collectively and gleefully kicking like spoiled children who do not yet fear the swarm of reprisal stings that are coming

I have ZERO expectation that we can get government action on this issue. I have grave doubts that we can get government action on ANY issue in 21st century America...what I was suggesting is a more localized plan of attack...finding the corporate overlords and hitting them in the only place that hurts - their wallets. It may be a Sisyphean task, but to stand by and idly accept the Israeli extermination of another group of people will do nothing but doom the region to another 1,000 years of vendetta and bloodshed.

of history, shamefully. Even in the face of these of these horrific war crimes, and of the OPPOSITION of the people who elected them, OUR GOVERNMENT has voted, 100% against those innocent children.

So, it is now up to the people of the world, a vast majority of whom oppose these war crimes.

Boycotts WORK. Do not buy anything that is manufactured in Israel. Do not vote for ANYONE who supports these horrors. Even if it gets you kicked off a Democratic Forum. Such a small price to pay for the lives of innocent babies.

I will NOT support anyone who supported this crime. But there are people who are afraid, afraid to stand up. I want no part of ANY entity that supports these horrors.

RIP little ones! I hope there is a better place somewhere!
