Hey. I was in Parkville yesterday when Obama showed up.

I guess his bunch was headed back up to the airport and decided to drop in on Parkville. Parkville is a little town right next to KC. Main St. has a whole lot of old buildings that have a lot of little fun boutiques and art stuff for sale. And the trains run every 20 minutes and sound their whistles. It's a really cute little town. Parkville always reminds me of Ray Bradbury's little town in Dandelion Wine And there is this little coffee shop with tables out front and they leave the front door open - you know the kind of place. It's really small with just a few tables.

So he just kind of showed up there. And everyone had a great time. Of course there was a huge traffic mess. And Platte County is very heavily Republican so people are going to grumble. I don't think there is a single Democrat in Platte Co. government.

He's just such a nice man. No matter about the difference in your politics you just have to like the guy because he is just a great person.

But I was driving south on I-29 when his motorcade came wizzing north on I-29 on their way to the airport.

It's fun to see all the pomp and circumstance. All the motorcycle police come first with their lights flashing. And then more police cars. And then the black SUV with the American flags flying. And they were followed by a bunch of white limos. And then there was an ambulance at the end. I-29 North was backed up for miles.

It was fun to see.

And I would love to meet him myself.

paradise near Kansas City. They have a wonderful open air market on Saturday and a restaurant in an old train car on a track (I believe)...at least last time i was there. It was cool seeing it on television.
I'm glad you enjoyed him.
I hope Boehner gets his butt crunched for trying to sue him. This whole thing is set up to try and make the congress look better?????????? Bastards.

The walking trail goes right along the river bank so you can watch the river flow along. Lots and lots of people around here use that park to walk and run and just hang out.

Now they also have a dog park right there on the river. (It's all fenced so the hunting dogs won't just go jump in the river).

which is another little town just down the road from Parkville. They went to the Corner Café which a place that sells Country Cooking - lots of fried everything. But they are famous for their biscuits.

Anyway, they offered Bush a biscuit and he said "no thanks" and it almost caused an "incident." Made the papers.

Politics can get
just hilarious.
