My thoughts regarding companies firing overweight people..

The original abbreviation of the National Socialist Party was Nasos. The word “Nazi” derives from a Bavarian word that means “simple minded” and was first used as a term of derision by journalist Konrad Heiden (1901-1966).c

Irresponsible purity..@ the workplace...

Joseph Goebbels declared: “Our starting point is not the individual, and we do not subscribe to the view that one should feed the hungry, give drink to the thirsty, or clothe the naked.... Our objectives are entirely different: we must have a healthy people in order to prevail in the world.”

“Those in power would inevitably direct human breeding in their own interests,” he wrote. “It would mean that big business would create a race in its own image.... t would mean with men, as it does with animals, that breeding would be controlled for the use and purpose of the powerful and unintelligent."

Part of Nazi and facism ideology and a piece of society common in Europe during the time was the cult of the body, the idea that having a healthy body made a person an asset to the nation by contributing "healthy" genes and healthy citizens. Those who were disabled had, according to this idea, shown themselves unable to maintain a healthy body and thus were a threat to the nation by contributing "unhealthy" genes, and were also a drag on the greater development of the nation. This is related to the idea of Social Darwinism, that society ought to promote the survival of the fittest in humanity.

The complicity of German physicians in the Nazis' crimes against humanity is a well-established historical fact. Explaining that fact is far more difficult. Why were German doctors such avid fans of fascism? Why did nearly half of all German physicians join the Nazi party?
The exhibit begins with a life-size, anatomically correct, glass model of a male, whose organs, muscles, and bones can be seen through a clear plastic skin. His arms are outstretched as if in prayer, and his head is tilted upward to appear just the way he would have to visitors of the German Hygiene Museum in the 1930s. This fascination with the workings of the human body—in the original, the different organs lit up as different buttons were pressed—is a consistent theme throughout the exhibit. One video shows a model of the body, sliced up in horizontal sections, moving together and apart in slow motion. Another film, from the 1930s, is about the “miracle” of the human body and ends with the invocation—“O Health.” The goal of perfecting and glorifying the human form was a German obsession in the years leading up to the Nazi regime. Its legacy was treating some human beings as animals for experiments—to be poked, prodded, used, and murdered.

Nazis never dissapeared really, they are here, in power,in america, the birthplace of eugenics..difference is they just don't tell everybody exactly what they believe in.Sometimes the mask slips and there is a gaffe,a lie believed by many..

Is there, perhaps an odor? I stopped going to a hair salon because I was repulsed by the odor coming from employees who had obviously been smoking.

9. If the job isn't giving them exercise, where is this big physical demand coming from??
Sun Apr 8, 2012, 12:41 AM
Apr 2012

That is just the kind of stuff bad employers ask.

They expect a worker to sit or stand at a station for 12 hours shifts,

Find nutritious food in less than a half hour lunch.

Pick up heavy things without assistance or proper protection

but exercise on your own time and don't be a fatty

.....oh can you work this weekend too?

I know people that had physically demanding jobs that still became so overweight they couldn't
do their work. Some people are gluttens. I know one that was hired with me back in 1970, we had just gotten
out of the army and he was in great shape. The guy had job that required miles of walking everyday. He ate constantly
and evetually got so fat one day his legs just gave out. He went down on his knees and it took 4 people to get himback on
his feet, Iwould guess he went 400 to 500 lbs. Oh the company also offered us gym membership. I also have brother that guit smoking two years ago and has put on close to 100 lbs, He has aphysically demanding job and I fear he is going that route too.
