Richard Nixon had to go away.
Hearings in the Senate it took,
Obstruction made him a crook.
President for a lot of years.
He resigned to lots of cheers.
Ever since the GOP's been mad,
Their guy's the one who went bad.
So evil they try to project,
on the one they don't elect.

that he was resigning the office of the president.
The next day, he submitted his letter of resignation to Henry Kissinger.
