Advancing the progressive message vs. debunking right wing misinformation

From my observations, it seems that progressive causes get derailed because a lot more time ends up combatting right wing B.S. than advancing the cause.

I recently read a ConWebWatch article criticizing a WorldNetDaily writer for spreading lies about a Christian organization's volunteer effort to house migrant children. The author points out:

"The feds" were not going to run this facility; a local group, Baptist Child and Family Services, were. And it would have been turned into a dormitory-type facility like others BCFS runs, not operated in a way to have "illegals ensconced in luxury."

Because of misinformation promulgated by conservatives like (Barbara) Simpson, BCFS has abandoned its plan for the facility.

Media Matters has a longer article about right wing misinformation shutting down the BCFS plan.

We've seen this crap before with ACORN. And women Internet commentators who get non stop misogynist spam simply for being women. So annoying.

1) Advance progressive message.
2) Debunk conservative message.
3) Make up lies about conservatives. (See how THEY like it!)
