According to Defense Minister Moshe Ya'alon, the ministers will seek to define Gaza as enemy territory - a move which would see Israel stripped of responsibility for damage to civilian areas and casualties.
Similar calls have been made to declare the Operation a full-fledged "war," which would see greater budgetary allotment for the self-defense mission and see Israelis compensated for their losses.
Meanwhile, the security cabinet will discuss the security situation in the south and nationwide, as well as two proposals - one to establish a funding and assistance program for veterans of Protective Edge, and one to launch a special rebuilding project for Gaza belt communities under heavy fire.
The latter project, if passed, would see a total of 13.5 million shekels ($3.8 million) spent on strengthening and building protected spaces and community centers in Gaza Belt towns by 2016.
IDF officials have hinted since ground forces pulled out of Gaza last week that they are not planning on renewing the ground offensive, even if the operation continues.

As far as posting from a RW israeli source, I think it is important to read what the 'crazies' are saying...don't you?

(58,724 posts)Until there is a non-RW fundie source, I do dispute it. Can you find a source other than this far right settler website?
I do agree that it's important to read what the crazies are saying but generally speaking folks don't use world net daily or rush limbaugh's website as a reputable source for information here on DU.

(29,876 posts)source then don't be so fucking lazy and find one yourself to dispute this article.

(58,724 posts)In either case, I would think you would also be dubious of a site like this and would want to find a more reputable source if you indeed are presenting this information as being true (I have done so with no success).

The resolution on the decision was posted to the website of the Prime Ministers Office Thursday afternoon, but a few hours later it was decided that it would not be brought for a vote at the weekly cabinet meeting on Sunday.
In 2007, three months after Hamas came to power in the Gaza Strip, the cabinet declared the area hostile territory, instituting restrictions on movement by its inhabitants and of merchandise and fuel into the area.
The proposal states that the decision is intended to give additional legal expression to the status of the Gaza Strip in keeping with the law on civil damages.
