Teabaggers want most secure border in the world, but they don't want to pay for it
Nevermind the fact that Obama has done more to secure the border than Bush or Reagan. Nevermind that border patrols under Obama have actually increased from when Bush was in office.
Apparently, teabaggers want the most sophisticated border system in the world. To prove their point, one of their beloved activists O'Keefe dressed up as Bin Laden to show how "easy" it is to cross the border. However, to do what they want - to secure the entire border - would not be easy. Simply putting up a fence wouldn't do anything, you would have to also increase human patrols, install sophisticated detection systems, etc. Basically what they want is something like the DMZ we have between North & South Korea, or the border that used to exist between Berlin and East Germany. Without getting into all the other issues such a system would raise, something like that would cost BILLIONS. And we all know how much the teabaggers hate spending money on anything. In fact, they've routinely voted to CUT spending for border security.
Just like everything else, these teabaggers are talking out both sides of their mouths.
