McCain Slams Obama: We Should Have Stayed In Iraq

Aug 11 2014
By Caitlin MacNeal

Sen. John McCain (R-AZ), known for his aggressive foreign policy views, slammed President Obama's approach to the Islamic state militants in Iraq.

On CNN's "State of the Union," McCain blamed the deteriorating situation in Iraq on America's failure to leave forces behind in Iraq.

The senator said Obama's targeted strikes in Iraq aren't enough.

“That’s not a strategy. That’s not a policy," McCain said. “That is simply a very narrow and focused approach to a problem, which is metastasizing as we speak.”

McCain called for airstrikes in Syria and for the U.S. to give weapons and supplies to the Kurds in order to fight ISIS.

“There’s a vacuum of American leadership all throughout the Middle East," he said.

CNN host Candy Crowley asked McCain to respond to the widely-held belief that he opposes everything Obama does when it comes to foreign policy.

“I predicted what was going to happen in Iraq," he said. "And I’m predicting to you now, that if we pull everybody out of Afghanistan, not based on conditions, you’ll see that same movie again in Afghanistan."

IF Iraq had signed status of force then McCain might have something to crow about. Would have, should have, could have, this is not what happened.

they lie to start a war killing and maiming millions

they blame their debt on poor people, victims of the government's 'free trade' agreements

they refuse to help anyone with our tax dollars, even refusing to give money to veterans

they blame the mess in Iraq from their war of lies on Obama then want to spend more money and kill more people.

They spend they campaign proclaiming to be holier than thou saving fetuses and professing their 'family values'

nut are sick sadistic bastards that only believe in spending money on offense.

The only way they get away with this behavior is the enabling and cowardice of the media and the American people.

It never mattered how long we stayed in Iraq. All the militants ever had to do was wait.

And, your opinions stopped being relevant the moment you chose that poor excuse for a running mate, also, too.

Instead John like many hawks didn't seem to feel the need to pay the price tag on the war or send their children to fight but hey besides that they're totally in for this war.
