Benjamin Crump, the Tallahassee attorney who represented Trayvon Martin's family, has been retained by the family of a man shot and killed by a police officer in Ferguson, Mo.
Michael Brown, 18, was shot to death Saturday afternoon during a struggle with a police officer, whose name was not released. His death has sparked several public protests in the suburban Missouri town where the shooting happened.
Crump also represented the family of 38-year-old Marlon Brown, the DeLand man who was run over and killed by a police cruiser during a brief pursuit on May 8, 2013. The officer responsible for the crash was fired, but a grand jury cleared him of any criminal wrongdoing.
In 17-year-old Trayvon's case, his accused killer, neighborhood watch volunteer George Zimmerman, was found not guilty of murder.

(420 posts)Why pick a losing team to represent you? Just because it's pro bono? This is nothing more than the law firm gaining more notoriety for themselves while exploiting another tragedy.
