Fox News runs fake Mrs. Doubtfire footage to "honor" Robin Williams

WTG Fox! Clueless and inept as always!

As Greta Van Susteren interviewed Larry King about Williams via phone, footage of someone who was definitely not Robin Williams, but looked a whole lot like his character from Mrs. Doubtfire appeared on the screen. The footage was labeled as coming from 20th Century Fox, a company that has some connection to the cable news network, but it most definitely did not. After a few seconds, the channel moved on on scenes from Mork and Mindy.

As for the source of the video, a quick search for “Mrs. Doubtfire dance” on YouTube retrieves the original version. The video, one minute of some random guy dancing to Aerosmith is accompanied by the caption: “2009 Halloween Costume and dance to Dude Looks Like A Lady.”

Then again, Roger Ailes could probably never understand Williams, his mind was to dull and slow and his thoughts were too sluggish to keep up.

It's just one more reason to despise the whole, lying bunch.

Keep it Klassy, Roger.

that also.

Fox News has reached peak propaganda value, they are on a fast downhill slide, I can feel it. They have totally no hope with the young and the middle aged are rapidly being lost.

Get out the lead, get out the vote.

8. Since "Doubtfire" was a Fox film, it shouldn't be too hard to get footage & show it.

Sheesh. Cable news cutting corners so much they can't even license their own companies' films!

It seems like all the channels are sloppy about this sort of thing these days.

but Fox News has the distinction of being the only 24/7 cable "news" channel that is actually worse than watching no news at all (per the study linked above).
