If anyone had any second thoughts about whether or not Hillary is running for President, I think we can now put those to rest.
In a typical Clinton maneuver, she is "triangulating" on the issue. She says that she disagreed with the President about not further arming the Syrian rebels that were opposing Assad. She agrees with Republicans like McCain and Graham. The President reportedly said their claims were "horseshit".
Considering that we have been assisting these "rebels" for the last two years, in all probability, many of them are now fighting with ISIS in Iraq? Assad doubled down on his efforts to get them out of Syria after the US and Russia made an agreement to get rid of Syrian chemical weapons.
The President was wise not to give more arms to the so-called "rebels" in Syria. Hillary Clinton was wrong.
But the most disturbing thing about the "disagreement" is the lack of political judgement by Hillary Clinton. Most Democrats oppose further involvement in the Middle East, and especially in Syria. They also oppose getting back into Iraq. Hillary would support more military involvement.
The left-leaning voters that may have supported her in the next election will now have second thoughts about voting for her. Most likely, few will actually work for her election. She is taking them for granted. That is a big political mistake, in my opinion.

(294 posts)Bill Clinton: Obama Risks Looking Like A 'Wuss,' 'A Total Fool' If He Doesn't Act On Syria
The Huffington Post | By Nick Wing Posted: 06/13/2013 9:39 am EDT | Updated: 06/13/2013 7:23 pm EDT
Former President Bill Clinton offered a stinging critique of President Barack Obama's inaction in Syria during a closed-press event this week, Politico reported, arguing that Obama's hesitance to get involved in the lengthy conflict could end up making him look like a "total fool" and a "wuss."
While only 15 percent of Americans said they'd back military action in Syria, according to a recent poll, Clinton spoke Tuesday during a question-and-answer session alongside Sen. John McCain (R-Ariz.) and suggested that such support among the American public or Congress shouldn't have any bearing on Obama's decision.
Clinton warned that it would be unwise to opt against action because there was a poll in the morning paper that said 80 percent of you were against it."
"[Y]oud look like a total wuss, he continued. And you would be. I dont mean that a leader should go out of his way or her way to do the unpopular thing, I simply mean when people are telling you no in these situations, very often what theyre doing is flashing a giant yellow light and saying, For Gods sakes, be careful, tell us what youre doing, think this through, be careful.
They really, really hate Obama.

(606 posts)was not intervening in Syria more? Turkey and Saudi Arabia created ISIS, but the real problem was that we didn't help Turkey and Saudi Arabia commit regime change in Syria fast enough.
There's a version of Islam that is totally intolerant of all others, and that cannot peacefully coexist with anyone else. That version is called Wahhabi Islam. It originates from it's state sponsor Saudi Arabia, our chief ally in the region aside from Israel. Why do neocons, and apparently the Clintons, want this version of Islam to dominate the Middle East?

It goes way beyond this, considering Saudi Arabia, Qatar, and Turkey involvement. But, at least he seems to understand now.

(84,711 posts)Hillary looks weaker and weaker. She seems to be running for "Clinton II" where Bill takes over....and she Coasts...but, she proves they were Equals....but, everything out of her mouth doesn't make much sense these days.
She's got the Dem Establishment to Cover her Back...but is this for HER or for BILL or NOSTALGIA for what could have been?
I think she's a tool of the Neocons and have proof to back that up. But most Americans don't know about Neocons and "PNAC" and she knows that.....so she "thinks" she has power. BUT ACTIVE VOTING DEMS ....DO KNOW...and that's where she shows she lives in the DC BUBBLE.... AND those of us Active DEMS...who "KNOW" also VOTE for EVERY LOCAL AND NATIONAL ELECTION.
She needs to get out more in the REAL WORLD because she doesn't seem in sync with us "Common Folks" out here.

(1,596 posts)Would have made this situation any better?
It really make me question her judgment.
and why would she be bringing up all this stuff when we still have an election in less then 3 months.
I don't remember any presidential candidate ever doing such a thing. It seems like she is trying to sabotage the next election.
