Ohio's managed care program for people with disabilities is an EPIC FAIL

California has a similar demonstration program that's rolling out now. The implementation date in three of the eight counties in the demo has already been pushed back because the plan's provider networks were woefully inadequate. The hell of it is, what made this possible was managed care-friendly language in the Affordable Care Act, brought to you by the powerful managed care lobby.

People with disabilities are once again being put at risk for injury and abuse in Ohio. MyCare Ohio was supposed to make life easier for those who receive both Medicaid and Medicare services. However, life has become significantly more challenging and stressful instead. Guest, Dominick Evans, helps illustrate the severity of the situation.
