Navy force to remove bibles from Navy run hotels. Faux Noose is upset.

The News Boob says, "Atheists hate Christianity.....Would atheists sue the government if it was the Koran?"

No. You lower IQ than a rock subsurface worm idiots. (Sorry about that worms.) We don't live in a theocracy. That's a four syllable word meaning 'government run by one religion'. But I understand. Four syllable words are hard for worms. Iran is a theocracy. Get it?

Have you ever stayed in a hotel room that didn't have a Bible?

I've never met a Gideon, but I will volunteer they are extremely persistent people.

If Christians can't travel without their 'bible' then they can put the Bible in book or app form on their phone/tablet/whatever.
Problem solved.

Fox News can go back to shouting about BergGanzi or whatever they mad at this week.

On second thought, does Iran have any military run hotels at all?

I don't dare ask why we do...

This should be a matter for the enlisted people to choose, they can have Bibles or whatever they want as reading material, I'm guessing.

O'Really will weigh in any minute now. And say something perfectly awful, guaranteed.

BTW, I can't get that link to work at all. May just be my computer. So sorry if the link showed Brillo going batshit as I didn't see it.

But my guess is these are Gideon bibles, placed there by an organization that has been placing Bibles in hospital and hotel rooms for over a century called Gideons International. Usually they are in desk drawers. If I am right, that means the Gideons, not the Navy, paid for them. Don't read if you don't want to. I don't see what the big deal is.

They've put out millions of Bibles in hotel rooms around the world. They used to go to schools and distribute them there as well. I doubt that they're allowed to go to the public schools anymore, though. I've also seen Books of Mormon in hotel rooms. A different organization besides the Gideons does that, however.

The question I have is, would they allow a Muslim organization to distribute Korans in their rooms? I doubt most of the hotel chains would. The Navy probably would have before they changed their policy on Bibles.

I see these "holy" books as tools for proselytizing. I think it's absurd that they have Bibles and Books of Mormon and all these other religious books, but they don't have Mother Goose to read to the kids. What about great works of literature? Why don't they have any Hemingway or Faulkner or Shakespeare? They don't have those books because they aren't conversion tools.
