I still have my own Canon AE-1 from the 70s.

I would have had to change to high speed film and crank up the shutter speed to max and opened the aperture to the separate meter reading and then not see results until the pictures came back in a week.

Marta got an HD still camera a couple years ago for her hobby. Very simple and easy to use, except for me.

these guys really make the scene in late summer. Never seen an albino. I did see 3 species (they looked very diff) in the same cow pasture flowers climbing a fence. They jousted with each other over the flowers; feisty birds.

I suppose it's possible for another kind to be knocked off course and end up in this area, but I have never seen another kind. Don't know anybody else in this area who has seen anything else, either. Long ago, different kinds emerged and established their own migratory routes.

I am amazed at all the different colors of hummingbird in the west--particularly in the southwest. May they all stay away from oil wells and fracking sites!

All that motion - captured! I can barely get a non-fuzzy photo of my kid onstage. And THIS kid takes multiple perfect shots of a hummingbird in action. AMAZING!

Thanks so much for posting these, Omaha Steve! We sure could use a good dose of this lovely stuff. Many of us have had runny eyes lately and could use something still alive and magical to rest them upon.

How does such a tiny thing find its way to us.

Captured by a gifted young person for us.

Well done.

Thanks again.
