Where are all the "Police Apologist" now

Where are all the defenders of Police shooting 13 yr old boys now

What happened to all the "You can't blame all cops for the actions of 1 bad cop" or in this case 1 Bad Police Department

Every week we learn of yet another unarmed innocent citizen gunned down and the cop walking away free of charges and returned to duty -WITH A GUN. You want to defend that ...

THIS THE RESULTS OF THE SUPREME COURT 1998 DECISION

and this is not going to end well until the Supreme Court reverses that decision

I'm still basically fine with the police. There questionable shootings and a lack I consequences in too many cases, but they are not frequent. and sadly either implicit or explicit racism is all too often a part of those shootings. But most police are grinding out their jobs trying to protect and serve their communities.

and if you don't know that you should and this foolish line of thinking is why systematic and organization culture issues are so seldom addressed because too many cannot even grasp a systematic issue because every problem is insisted on being seen as individual.

No police are not analogous to black people or Jews. I'm not sure most professions are a reasonable comparison either considering the unique place in society or the organizational structure.

This line of argument is first magnitude desperate flailing around, in what mind would this make any practical sense?

there seems an element of DU that wants us to believe there should be no cops, or some such shit. I've even seen it said you don't be a cop unless you are a totalitarian or whatever. As if there are no black cops, no Latino cops, no female cops, etc. And even white men might be OK cops.

They get so unreasonable. Note the OP does not allow any disagreement on the subject and certainly this cop has been tried and convicted already.

Why don't YOU list all the bad things police officers have done.

I'll TRY to list all the good things they've done (though that might take a while.)

Maybe we can then compare those results vs. those of the general populace.

I'll kick it off:

Officer Finds Mom Trying To Steal Groceries, Buys Her $100 Worth Of Food

Officer Vicki Thomas spent $100 on groceries to help a mom she originally stopped shoplifting.

The generous cop says she did it because she could identify with the woman's desperate situation.

"I did it just because I needed to," Thomas tells CNN's Chris Cuomo.

http://www.foxbaltimore.com/news/features/around-the-web/stories/police-officers-buy-groceries-for-family-in-need-wbff.shtml?wap=0

Texas police Senior Officer Bryan Knief and Cadet Officer Anthony Vacarro were on duty last weekend when they were called out to a Victoria home. The officers noticed the family had no food. They decided to take action, and drove to a local Walmart. As they were in line to pay for a full cart of groceries, they were stopped by a local, curious about what it was they were doing. Thinking it was odd that the officers were grocery shopping in full uniform, Rebecca Vasquez asked what was going on. "They actually told me that they were going to be donating the entire basket to a family in need," Vasquez said. "I just thought it was awesome."

Cops have consistently been getting away with murder in this country and cops are doing nothing to stop it.

Ferguson is only the latest in a long line of cop bullshit.

So no, I hold all cops in contempt and will continue to do so until they can hold their own accountable and stop the bullshit about "bad apples'. If there are a few 'bad apples', the entire barrel has been spoiled because nobody holds those 'bad apples' accountable.

And yes, that includes all cops. They are in the barrel and thus were spoiled by the 'bad apples' that they never held accountable.

Where are the cops standing against the "bad apples"? Where is the opposition. Where are the impassioned speeches at the FOP conventions?

Maybe that number is above zero but no it isn't a bit comparable then you are foolish enough to see entire departments go apeshit knowing we have these issues in varying degrees all over and refuse to even contemplating institutional and culture issues. It is always the "bad apple", never the barrel.

I've know all kinds of cops, have cops in the family are these wicked folk? No, do they almost all tell stories of abuse, corruption, doing what they bust people doing, graft, and wildly unprofessional behavior be it themselves or witnessed? Yup. Do they see themselves as separate and above the citizen? Sure do.

The reality is there are very, very few are modern day Knights of the round table.

Not many (but a much higher percentage than is pretended) but enough are fucking thugs and worse.

The vast majority are people going to work, no different in that going to work than anybody else which means a lot of situational behavior that has them being good, bad, and neither sometimes the same day but almost no matter what anybody does they are at least "look the other way" which makes them an island of their own unique culture with their own special considerations because of this and their mission and responsibilities.

No it isn't even comparable much less the same.
