What Exactly Do We Know About The Shooting Of Michael Brown In Ferguson?......

I'm not trying to be a wise guy here but in talking with a friend last night I realized that most people are insulated and don't know how this whole thing in Ferguson got started. They are only commenting on the aftermath - the looting the other night and the continuing protests by the people of the community. They have no idea about how this unarmed boy was shot and why the people of the community are so inflamed about the lack of information surrounding this shooting.

What further irritated me was how this situation was reported on the 10pm news last night. They made it sound like the police were reacting to violence in Ferguson versus them actually provoking the situation by moving on the peaceful protesters, firing smoke bombs, tear gas, rubber bullets and arresting journalists.

So bottom line - the people listening to this newscast last night took the side of the police and blamed the people. Very unfair when the actual facts of the situation are not reported.

I reacted to my friend last night by saying how would you like it if the police were on your street with military looking vehicles and armed like the military aiming guns at you? Do you realize that if you don't have a reaction to what is happening in Ferguson that that type of action might come to your own community? I got no reaction from my friend. Just silence.

Also - I reflect on all journalists out there. The treatment that these journalists got in Ferguson last night was unconscionable. If the journalist of this country don't react to this situation and let the police get away with this treatment of them - then they are just inviting this same treatment in other areas of this country.

What happened to flow of information? Why aren't the police of Ferguson giving the facts to the people of this community? What are they trying to protect? cover-up?

So I ask the question - what exactly do we know about this shooting of Michael Brown? Someone needs to outline what is known and we need to get that info out to people so that people are more informed before they draw conclusions on their own without the facts.

Brown and Johnson were walking in the street
Police Officer pulls up and tells them to get on the "fucking sidewalk"
Johnson tells officer they're but a minute from his house
Johnson says officer tries opening the door but the door hits both Johnson and Brown, bouncing back on officer
Officer then grabs Brown while saying, "I'm gonna shoot you"
Brown attempts to get away from officer after that
Officer fires gun
Brown and Johnson run (Johnson smartly hides behind car)
Brown turns around, throws hands in air stating he's unarmed
Officer shoots Brown again
(According to a different witness who videotaped the aftermath) Browns body turns like he's been shot (which he has)
The cop continues forward shooting Brown several more times (according to witness -- until he's down)
Brown's body lays on ground for hours with no sheet to cover him
Community gets pissed off at lack of investigation
Community demands justice
Community decides to protest
Some people loot and riot (and get the majority of the media coverage) framing a peaceful protest into a "riot"
Police do nothing to stop looting
Next day, community decides to protest again
The Ferguson PD turns into a militia and assaults innocent protesters, arrests journalists and pretty much turn Ferguson, MO into downtown Iraq.

That's what I know.

Where is the body of Michael Brown now? Has it been turned over to the parents for burial? Do we know how many bullets were actually fired into Brown? Seems to me that knowing how many bullets were actually fired and hit would be important info to know.

Wins for the vaguest answer ever. Anyway, that info has not been officially released but according to the female eyewitness, the cop emptied his gun.
