His reports on this have been spot on so far. I think he wants to highlight this further and be closer to the story. And with the war against reporters there this is the proper call.

For many, it was a defining moment when he expressed the surreal image of a policeman dressed in a combat type uniform on a military vehicle pointing a machine gun aimed at peaceful demonstrators (that is not an actual quote but its close).

I like Rachel, too, but her style of repeating her point in several different ways, all in a row, kind of grates on me sometimes. I would guess that most of her viewers don't need that much explaining.

Very minimal police presence, feeling of exuberance and peacefulness among the crowd. What a difference a day makes.
About to broadcast from the heart of the protests
Several hundred marchers just went by chanting "Hands up! Don't shoot!" With a single cruiser trailing them.
