Federal Judge Upholds Maryland Gun-Control Law

Finally some sanity, I just hope like hell that we can get these gone in California.

A federal judge on Tuesday upheld a Maryland ban on 45 assault weapons and a limit on gun magazines to 10 rounds, two key parts of a sweeping gun-control law that were challenged shortly before the law went into effect last year. http://abcnews.go.com/US/wireStory/federal-judge-upholds-maryland-gun-control-law-24952347

Let's hope it sticks ... and that more municipalities can enact similar laws.

The major rulings happen at the circuit court of appeals level. Expect the decision to be appealed and it will end up at the 4th US Circuit Court of Appeals. Given that the 4th US Circuit Court of Appeals averages 7 months to hear and decide an appeal, we'll probably be arguing over the decision next Spring.
