Dems use Reagan to push Buffett Rule

http://thehill.com/blogs/blog-briefing-room/news/220637-dems-use-reagan-to-push-buffett-rule

(snip)
Jim Messina, the manger of President Obama’s reelection campaign, cited the former president and Republican icon in a call with reporters on Monday about the tax proposal.

The Obama campaign is pushing legislation in the Senate that would implement the Buffett Rule. Under a section of the Obama reelection site titled "Who's on board," Reagan is listed. The site also features a video of Reagan saying his administration would raise taxes so that a millionaire would not pay less than a bus driver.

ThinkProgress, a blog attached to the liberal Center for American progress, on Monday circulated a video of Reagan describing a letter he received from a wealthy individual who said taxes should be raised on the country's highest earners.

"Do you think the millionaire ought to pay more than the bus driver or less?" Reagan said in the clip.

The titular head of the criminal-banker party now rests in his grave knowing his legacy will be recognized.

Let's all expect a quick 180 from the republicans, they'll shut up about Reagan for the next 6-9 months if they're smart. I don't think they can hold it in though.
