New York Mayor Bill de Blasio said on Wednesday that people of his city should always cooperate with police officers when placed under arrest.
My advice to Mayor Bill de Blasio and other politicians; city, state and federal.
1. Stop militarizing the police turning them against the very people that they're supposed to "protect and serve."
2. Stop passing asinine, draconian laws that shred the Bill of Rights while criminalizing the people.
3. Pass laws that outlaw prisons that profit from the incarceration of the American People and then in turn feed their immoral 21st century version of slavery profits to self-serving politicians; only to pass more draconian laws and abusive, unjust sentencing.
4. Rectify the obvious racial disparity in stops/searches, arrests and sentencing.
5. Require every police officer in the nation to wear a camera and mic on their shirt while on duty.
6. Stop using indiscriminate martial force against peaceful protesters.
7. Stop criminalizing the homeless.
8. Legalize cannabis; which is far less harmful than alcohol, tobacco, many prescription drugs and treat addiction as a disease, not a life ruining crime for both victim and family.
The laws you and your ilk have passed or not passed whether economic or pertaining to the judiciary over the decades have done nothing but create this major social chasm between the people and the police. The people don't trust the police and police don't trust the people.
So spouting off about "not resisting arrest" is well and good but it does nothing to address the major dysfunction afflicting our nation.

I agree, Manny, they were accessories to murder and none tried to check his vitals.

It was outrageous and horrific, you can hear Eric say over and over, "I can't breathe!"

Immediately. Politicians don't give a flying fuck when they make/enforce illegal laws against civilians. It will still be infinitely more due process than Garner got.

They just let him die.

Every cop within earshot should be out of a job immediately. That was outrageous and horrific.

"I can't breathe!" and they didn't give a shit.
