Just be fine". Well the Republican Congress deregulated them and they would have totally fallen but for TARP. It was passed but without rules on how it was to be handled, Bush's man set it up so all the executives would get their bonuses and they was a big part of the problem. Too late for Obama to block the bonuses. Some more of the trickle down crap which failed.

to threaten the derivatives market, which exists in part to reduce risk for big investors.
When the derivatives casino topples, it will take everything with it.
