Cpt Ron Johnson for Mayor of Ferguson (Police Chief?)!

Receiving a standing ovation now on MSNBC at rally for Mike Brown.

He's speaking about a colleague last night telling him that he's changed, was he tired or upset? He said he was upset because he had just met some of Mike Brown's family and he was sad.

I saw the 2:00am presser this morning and I could tell then that something was bothering him. But I concluded he was exhausted. I was wrong.

He's a hero to the people there, and deservedly so.

3. I think he's a star because he's the bridge between the sides. And he's brilliant.

That brilliance comes from realizing that being vulnerable and having heart doesn't make you weak. I'd be willing to bet that he won't be able to pay for a meal in that town for years.

9. It is. It's a voice, dignity, insistence on being heard. And with work it will endure.

but I think this will lead to change. What change will look like, I'm not sure but I hope it's a positive outcome.

11. Sometimes things, even "duh" ones, need to be said. A lot. With feeling.

This is different. People are coming out and saying "We are Americans and we matter!" And they look like what they are.

This is history. You're right.

2. Makes you wonder if the current Mayor or Police Chief has met with the family?

That is common most places when such events occur.
