In 1969 or '70 when HST was a very old man and very feeble, Tricky Dick came to Independence on HST's birthday to give him a piano. Tricky Dick having played the "Missouri Waltz" and departed, an aide asked Truman what he thought. "I hate that son of a bitch," Truman is said to have responded.
