She never says Brown had his hands up.This is why I don't think it's a good idea to have potential witnesses on TV the defense team of this officer is going to take this interview apart.Even to the fact she says she left to get her phone to start recording it. http://www.huffingtonpost.com/2014/08/18/michael-brown-shooting-video_n_5687590.html?ncid=fcbklnkushpmg00000047

(34,648 posts)There will be justice. If the county thinks the citizens are mad now, they should fear how pissed they will be if they keep covering shit up.

(20,544 posts)Not clear what you mean but with the arm wounds on the inside of his arm looks like he did have his hands up - next to his head.

(34,648 posts)Besides, he did a finishing move on the kid who was already shot at least five times. Imagine that boy five foot six, female and blind if it helps.
I just did not know what you meant.

(31,681 posts)Knowing he was shot in the eye - I just can't believe people really believe Mr. Brown went charging at that police officer.
And from now on - He's Mr. Brown. I'm going to give him the respect that he didn't get when that thug told him to get the fuck out of the street.
You with me?

(34,648 posts)College enrollee, recent graduate Mr. Brown, lost his life at the hands of a thug in the streets.
I'll never forget the photo of him in his cap and gown.
Hands up!
I yield. I can take no more.

(1,115 posts)Brown wasn't shot in the back. He was shot from the front. There will be conflicting "experts" from both sides that will interpret the autopsy results differently. Witnesses, as BigDarryl points out, are all over the map with conflicting statements.
This case is not going to be a slam dunk. It's going to be another Trayvon Martin case where justice is absent from the proceedings.
bravenak
(34,648 posts)Is any better than in the back. He was tall. He had to be down to be shot in the top of the head. Opr falling, since he had already been shot in the face.

(1,115 posts)But an expert hired by the defense will testify it is likely he was shot while charging the officer. The officer will testify to the same thing. And the state examiners will have to state that it is "possible" -- reasonable doubt doesn't need much of a foothold to destroy a case like this.
I just think we're setting ourselves up for disappointment by thinking this is going to be anything other than Trayvon Martin part 2.

(1,115 posts)Without an on video execution of Michael and without a confession, I would doubt their ability to get a conviction. I've just seen too many cases of abuses of power, cases stronger than this one, that haven't gone anywhere. Maybe we'll get lucky. But its hard not to get down about it.

(20,886 posts)Mr Brown was shot in the top of the head, with a back to front trajectory.
This would indicate that the fatal bullet entered when he was already down. This is a very important distinction.
JJChambers
(1,115 posts)The ATTORNEY said back to front. Then the medical examiner got on and said it wasn't back to front.

(5,842 posts)IF Brown was charging the cop in a manner such as to tackle or attack him the inside of his arms would have been subject to being struck by the cop's ammo. Visualize a football player aiming to tackle an opponent (arms are going to be spread out before attempting to wrap up the opposing player).
If Brown was falling prior to the final shot being fired that could explain the entry point into the head.
Simply, the examination doesn't rule anything out and can likely be used to support either side's version of events. .
bravenak
(34,648 posts)Sorry. Getting shot in the face stops the charge issue. He could have moved. Then cuffed him. A headshot is not appropriate for a charge.

The released portions of the autopsy don't speak to that.

(15,189 posts)He worked with OJ's team to try and free that murderer. That jury could of had a video tape of the murder, and still would have let him go.
