Would we expect corporations to police protests against themselves fairly?
I think there needs to be a fundamental change about how to protect protesters from the people they are protesting, acknowledging when a conflict of interest exists and attempting to get outside parties to monitor the situation.
I am not sure why we think that there is any situation under which someone will allow a protest against them to look good or go well. I just think that there is way too much of a conflict of interest.

(45,274 posts)this is Murka. We DO expect the corporations to voluntarily police themselves, just as we expect the Supreme Court to recuse themselves appropriately. It's only the commoners you can't trust, who need outside enforcement. Who better to enforce than the enforcers?
