Air campaigns don't do shit except temporary disruptions. So shove your"high and mighty" tone.

"Saturation bombing"...yeah it worked so well in Vietnam too.

You've no idea what you're talking about.

We will have to deal with them sooner or later (when they have more advanced weaponry, greater numbers, better position - more territory and more hostages.

Iraqis fear defeat without more U.S. help

We should/can get GB and France involved in this and should hit up Gulf States for support - public andor financial (or we'll just let 'em go..whose next??)

civil war against Assad, now did we? (Taking a break from Mike Brown-Ferguson stuff for just a moment.)

Here's a novel concept: Don't take sides in other countries' civil wars.

You'd think Vietnam would have taught us. But, no. 2-3 milllion dead Southeast Asians (and 56,000+ dead Americans) didn't teach us a goddamn thing.

just say ISIS\ISIL was Turkey's proxy and Turkey is our NATO ally. Oh yeah, and a lot of that aid to 'moderate opponents' of Assad wound up under the control of ISIS\ISIL. But, technically, you're right. They weren't "our" proxy.

You know, all those lovely oil rich countries that have far more skin in the game. Lets see the ME stand up their own coalition army to protect their territories and safeguard their own assets before we consider wasting yet another generation of American lives and treasure beating another country's bloody wardrum.

There are many more proximate nations with a bigger stake in the outcome. Let them take a crack or two at it before we re-insert ourselves into that morass.
