The Church of England said in a statement that "both tragic and bizarre that hotels would remove the word of God for the sake of ergonomic design, economic incentive or a spurious definition of the word 'diversity'."

(21,786 posts)Most of the "Christians" here in the UK are Christians the same way people who go to Mass at Easter and Christmas are Catholic; they'll see the inside of a church three times in their lives...when they're christened, when they're married, and when they die. American-style religious nutters are a very small minority, here.

(19,558 posts)Mostly in the US, but a few times a year in other places, including the UK once in awhile. I had no idea there were still bibles in the rooms. All I ever look for is the room service menu and the WiFi code. If they hadn't mentioned they were going to remove them would anyone have noticed? I seriously doubt it.
