Gawker: Two White People Show Up at Ferguson Protests to Support Darren Wilson

http://gawker.com/white-lady-brings-pro-darren-wilson-sign-to-ferguson-pr-1624780365/

First off; while I certainly respect any usage of the first amendment, I still have to ask the question. WHY? Officer Wacko (wilson) hasn't even been charged yet! Support him for what?

Second; Nikon? Uh, I'm pretty sure the governor is a person (Nixon), not a camera company from Japan.

Third; what did the counter-protesters expect to happen? The protesters to change their mind about the guy? Do the counter-protesters even KNOW the officer?

Well, she didn't die or get gassed...chalk it up as a win for both sides I guess.

I don't know what good reason there is to go there (doesn't matter their race) and protest FOR the Officer the community believes murdered one of their own.

There is no such thing as "reverse racism". It's code language and a dog whistle.

You're the one who brought racism into the discussion. One of their own = member of the community. Wilson and I suspect those protesters were not from Ferguson.

People seem to forget we live in community's and if we interact within said community, that community, hopefully becomes like family. I look out for the older members in my community and consider them my "own" no matter their race and I live in a multi-cultural community.

So, check YOUR racism, thank you very much.

It seems that both the people in the article went to the protests with those signs in the hopes that they would be assaulted and would then be able to go on TV and say the protesters were violent. The two white people do not seem to be following the story that closely. Gov. Nixon's name was spelled wrong on woman's sign.

could claim that 33% of Wilson's supporters are black.
