It used to be that you'd pick up your phone and hear, "Hi. This is Rachel from Credit Card Services. There's no problem with your current credit card...."
We all got to know and love Rachel, who seemed tireless in her willingness to call us and offer us a way to lower our interest rates. Well, apparently Rachel just couldn't handle all of that work, so they've cloned her multiple times, now, and you never know whose friendly voice you'll hear when you pick up your phone.
And here I thought human cloning was illegal. Guess not, eh?

(15,234 posts)If so she is most likely a robo call from India. This type of call is illegal and can be stopped by putting yourself on the Federal and State no call list. If you ever punch a number watch out you have been phished they then sell you number to similar sharks. I keep mine up to date in spite of that I still got calls on my land line. Trying to be a smart ass I have punched the number and informed them I am on a no call list and their call is illegal you do not want them to call you again. Once I was able to get into a very satisfying argument with a party on the other end. DO NOT DO THIS you just made them some money. Well I disconnected my land line which saves me money. All calls from Credit Card Services are a scam most if not all originate in India.
