Ferguson Native Michael McDonald Issues Statement on Mike Brown Tragedy

What I think needs to be honestly examined by the larger national community, is the difference between what constitutes a valid reason for use of deadly force when a young white male is the suspected perpetrator of a crime and what those standards seem to be when the suspect is African American.

It haunts me to know that there are people who tried to shoot presidents (John Hinkley Jr., Squeaky Fromme, and Sara Jane Moore) were arrested and are still alive today. In fact, Squeaky Fromme and Sara Jane Moore have even been paroled. Not to mention, Jared Loughner.

The contrast is very disturbing.

Some of these fuckers had loaded guns that they were SHOOTING, and motherfuckers still jumped on them!
